Humans talk to each other using language. Computers and electronics have their own languages for communicating too.
The Internet is the largest example of this. Millions of devices all communicating over a global network, using computer
protocols such as Ethernet, TCP and
IP.
Devices can also communicate wirelessly using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is the routing of voice conversations over the Internet or through any other IP-based network.
VoIP protocols carry telephony signals as digital audio, typically reduced in data rate using speech data compression techniques, encapsulated in a data packet stream over IP.
