Electronic Engineering Applications
Biomedical Electronics
The area of biomedical electronics draws heavily on embedded systems design, signal processing, wireless communication, image processing,
radio frequency design and power electronics. Its goal is to improve the to help improve patient health care and the quality of life of individuals.
With the aid of biomedical devices the rate of diagnosis of diseases can be increased.
Biomedical Electronics Spotlight
Nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (NMRI), is a non-invasive method using nuclear magnetic resonance to render images of the inside of an object, e.g. the human body.
Using various image processing techniques the resultant images can be used to search for abnormalities and or other physiological alterations of living tissues.
